Love? Hate?

So empty yet so raw but hey, that's poetry

By Bryony-LeighPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

I don't know if I love you or hate you.

But I do know there is a thin line between love and hate,

So thin and so narrow it's like a thread.

Because when you love someone, you only see their beauty,

And hating someone, you only see their flaws.

But with you? I see everything.

And I fucking hate it.

You could walk into a crowded room and my eyes would fall immediately on you,

drinking in your presence, never looking away.

My breath would catch in my throat as I would remember the way you looked at me.

How they contained the entire universe inside of them.

Like I was everything you wanted.

But now when your eyes bore into mine, there's nothing.

You won't even give me the pleasure of seeing your emotions.

Like I'm not worthy.

It's clear that you've changed.

But I can't help but love you,

and I fucking hate it.
