Love is the reason for the season some say,
Let’s be happy this day
Maybe you can even come out and play
I love today as it has been fun over the years and today!
Even with our children grown and with their immediate family, big sigh
I am still planning a bigger meal for the hubby and I!
We already exchanged gifts this holiday season
And whatever was the reason
I said I don’t wear necklaces much anymore
He intended to buy me diamonds once more.
It’s okay as really, I am happy to be getting a new phone soon
They were out of the one I wanted, and they suggested I drive to the moon!
Well, not the moon, just a few towns over, Bemidji or Virginia are a few
that were mentioned, so then I would see a couple siblings, nieces, and nephews!
The pandemic has me staying home more and not inviting people in for real
Although I have a cousin that would like to be invited at some point for a meal
He’s a single guy and was just enough older to babysit once or twice
He liked my cousin on the other side of the family, and they were nice,
watching each other, not so sure about watching anyone else though.
We may take in a show, the hubby doesn’t know, and maybe it will be snow.
I don’t mind staying in when the weather and roads are affected and blow
the snow all over the road in piles. It’s better to stay home then.
I talked him into a hallmark last night and when it got close to ten,
he said, “lets go to bed and watch this!” He really isn’t much of a hallmark
kind of guy, as it is westerns, and old, old television shows that hit his mark
So, he would have been watching Green Acres and Perry Mason if I wouldn’t have mentioned watching something
together.
So, what will we do if the weather
is sour?
We will stay home and while away the hour.
I will write and he will watch westerns and maybe we will fit in a Christmas parade
and find some of the homemade fudge I made
Love is the reason for the season
Creator God is Love
And that fits like a glove.
I give thanks for all the love I have been blessed with, my health and yours!
Your children and ours!
Have the very best holidays
And now wishing you all the best of days!
