Love Gives

A Poem

Love can't help

But give…

It gives the big things

And the little things.

It gives high

And it gives low.

Its giving grows

And grow and grows.

For how would you know

The one who loves

If not by one's generous heart?

And how could one withhold

Such kindness

That is bound to flow?

The one who loves is happy

When he gives.

He cannot close his fist

But opens wide his hands,

Hands that give oneself

Until the end.

For love is giving

With a grateful heart.

Love is happy

To impart

The big things and the little things

Without seeking a reward.
