Love Finds You, You Don’t Find It

It’s a day I will always remember

I stepped out to enjoy the admirable weather

From the house, off to town I go

Walked to the mall, did some window shopping and then suddenly whoa!

Stumbled across some beautiful damsel in distress that dropped something, oh no!

She looked as though she needed help

As nervous as I was, I walked over to her to pick the things up and introduce myself

I was feeling very scared and uneasy, approaching her regardless of how I felt

My heart was beating as fast as a car in motion

My adrenaline was pumping and my palms were sweating, from afar I hope she didn’t notice

Picked them up and she said thanks so much

I told her no problem, asked her if we could be friends and keep in touch

She said, “Sure” and I asked for her name

“Jennifer she said and what’s yours?” I was glad that we were getting acquainted and that I came

I kept staring at her, couldn’t keep my eyes off her

I pulled my phone out and asked for her number

As I was talking to her, I couldn’t help but stutter

Gave my phone to her, she stored her contact

She put a heart emoji next to her name and gave me my phone back

Since then I knew I had fallen in love by some strange occurrence

Never before had I seen such a beauty, one as unique as her’s is
