Love (drama and trauma)

Is this what you call love? Drama and trauma, nothing more or less

What a mess you’ve made of this,

and yet still judge us of our sins

Is this what you call love?

drama and trauma, nothing more or less

when you think there are no witnesses

as if it’ll put your marriage on the mends

Are we just people you wouldn’t miss?

not existing as a means to the end

It’s already been confessed, silly dove

between you and your new friends,

Lawless and godless are we,

while you’re floating, flawlessly

on clouds of ignorance and disbelief

Drifting down the winds of loneliness,

poking fingers at problems nobody sees,

Demolishing the family you have left,

focused on what was and couldn’t be

Well, if he is indeed watching, I sure hope he’s pleased

at how you’ve treated those around you,

lest we all be peeved.
