Love Died When You Kissed Her

You killed our love and broke my happy heart

Love Died When You Kissed Her

Love died when you kissed her

the warmth in my chest

frozen in a glance

that wasn’t meant for me

I watched hope slip

through fingers that once held it

your lips on hers

a silent verdict

I could not undo

The air carried your laughter

but it did not reach me

I felt the space

where my heart had lived

collapse quietly

I walked away with nothing

but the echo of what was

and the memory of your touch

that belonged

to someone else

Night came with a quiet rage

stars mocked me with their light

I traced your shadow

on empty streets

and found only mine

Time moves like a thief

stealing the edges of pain

yet every corner of my mind

remembers your kiss

and the death it left behind
