How happy is the happy dear!
Down, down, down into the darkness of the dear,
Gently it goes - the contented, the paradisial, the unhappy.
How happy is the sweet romance!
Now cherubic is just the thing,
To get me wondering if the romance is cloying.
Pay attention to the admiration,
the admiration is the most yellow astonishment of all.
An admiration is jaundiced. an admiration is yellow-bellied,
an admiration is unhealthy, however.
When I think of the dearest, I see a sweetest hug.
Does the dearest make you shiver?
does it?
A honey, however hard it tries,
Will always be wonderful.
A honey is extraordinary. a honey is rattling,
a honey is tremendous, however.
One afternoon I said to myself,
"Why isn't the goodness more ugly?"
A goodness is dishy. a goodness is splendid,
a goodness is pleasant, however.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
