she shopped for love at the local thrift store

on the corner of henry and fourth street

longing to become someone's forevermore

in hand me downs, ray bans and bare feet

spinning some classical music she'd found

wanting more than a name in the line of a song

luck, like a penny, waiting there, on the ground

at the chance someone might sing along

“I may be nothin' but low class today

but believe, it won't be too long

till the wind blows a series of changes my way

and like broken nails, you will be gone

I'll be so much more than you bargained for

and you'll wish you had takin' a chance

before you know it, I will slip out that door

just about the time you learn to dance”

(and the hunt goes on)

so she found her a cute pair of shoes

(yeah, the hunt drags along)

I mean, what does a girl gotta do?

Some of the best buys are found in stores such as these. For you never know who you will meet there. Good job.
