Love as madness

Back to the beginning

As I plan my every misstep

Deep down in my own mind

As I seek and destroy every smile

What consequence is fate

What distraction is love

To where I came

To where I go

Twisted in a sea of bliss

Until I sleep

Wild is every moment

Dreamt of while I wake

To whom do I owe the misery

And the fleeting contrast of her

Tripping over my own soul

As I plead for redemption

Open and spoiled to her

As she swallows my flaws

Equally wonderfully imperfect

As I hold her so tight

Shattered and splintered

In my palm

Our love so beautifully scarred

It was always and never meant to be
