Love and Fear

Musing of my Muse

By Leigh SchillingPublished 6 years ago 1 min read
this poem written in my journal, 5.2.2020

The more things change, more they stay the same

you've been away many months now, my love

yet my feelings for you never change

my intentions pure, just like a dove.

I once said to you that I was afraid

many things have happened, this still rings true.

I feel I'm a rope that's long since gone frayed

even still, I long to be tied to you.

I've made up my mind, now I'm all in

not a single thing you say can push me

away from you love, now let us begin

I want to be with you always, only.

Every fear I have shared, you have dissuade

a knight in no armor, no sword beside

every fear I have, you have chased away

within my heart, fear gone, love may reside.

The day I met you, the air left my lungs

you control my heart, you control my breathe

your hand around my heart, the moon, you hung

as yo never leave me, I escape death.
