He sat there, staring at the stars, and realized he couldn't go on like this. He needed to see her, to tell her how he felt, even if it meant risking everything.

The next morning, he called every airline he could think of, but finding a last-minute flight to Paris was proving impossible. Frustrated and desperate, he remembered something Casey had said about wanting to see the world from above.

That's when the idea struck him. Ronnie had a friend, Jake, who owned a small charter company. They'd gone to school together, and Jake often flew tourists around the state for aerial tours. It was a long shot, but Ronnie had to try.
