Love A Cure Or A Curse?

It is one man’s poison or another man’s cure

Love: A Cure or a Curse?

Love can be a medicine for a lonely heart,

A drug that can tear a family apart.

It lifts you high, then drops you low,

A fire that burns, a river that flows.

It whispers soft, then screams your name,

A gentle touch, a ruthless game.

It builds a home, then breaks it down,

A quiet smile, a hollow frown.

Some chase love like a distant dream,

Blinded by what they want to believe.

Others fear its heavy weight,

Locking the door before it’s too late.

Love is healing, love is pain,

A summer sun, a drowning rain.

It gives, it takes, it bends, it sways,

It leaves you lost, it finds new ways.

But still we fall, and still we fight,

For love can make the darkness light.

It hurts, it heals, it scars, it shines,

And yet we crave it all the time.

No matter how it fades or stays,

Love will shape our nights and days.

A force so wild, yet soft and true,

It breaks, it mends, it starts anew.
