My heart is painfully full of love

Now I fear it might overflow and soak everything around it

Did I buy paper towels last week?

How terrible would it be to waste love on myself

To be drenched

Perhaps I can, just for now, selfishly pour love into the broken places

Perhaps that’s not selfish at all, but an act of mercy
