Never in my life

Never in my life have I been so defeatist

I've not heard your voice in a week,

and it turns out

I need it

Still got a thirst for you,

and dreaming just doesn't feed it

You were in my dream last night,

and I didn't expect it

Telling me you wanna make things right,

or you'll always regret it

That's the beauty of a dream

We always see what we want to see

This is what I've become now

Without you I knew I would fall

Keeping my phone on loud

Even though you may never call

Drinking my liver right out

Even though it's half past four

I keep my phone on loud

Just waiting for your call

Never in my life has love come to me so easy

I fell so God damn hard for you,

and you know that I mean it

Still got a thirst for you,

and dreaming just doesn't feed it

You were in my dream last night,

and I didn't expect it

Telling me you wanna make things right,

or you'll always regret it

That's the beauty of a dream

There is always a place for you and me

This is what I've become now

Without you I knew I would fall

Keeping my phone on loud

Even though you may never call

Drinking my liver right out

Even though it's half past four

I keep my phone on loud

Just waiting for your call

heartbreak
