Lost time.
“Life is not in the speed it flows, but what each moment shows.”

Pain makes time move slow,
Yet good memories swiftly flow.
Short moments of ecstasy lingering, pushing forward from past time…
Could this be why certain pain takes long to pass?
—
Manipulating time in our head, our clock wildering as we restart,
Reliving glories to soothe the heart.
In a trance we go to this place—
Turning hands of the clock for our future sight,
So afraid of what comes, so we stay stuck in past delight.
—
Would reliving the past somehow change my odds in present time?
—
Never go where winds may steer,
But leave the clock to turn, my dear.
Life’s not in the speed it flows,
But in what each moment shows.
—
Or we will merely stay trapped in the loop,
While life passes by.
In regrets, wondering if it was really worth the fight?…..
—
was it worth the fight?
To change the clock’s hands, yet miss the light.
Spitefully realizing control wasn’t in your hands all this while.
Fantasy floats away to reveal the gruesome reality that has passed you by.
—-
Realizing control was never truly ours,
We watch fantasies dissolve into harsh reality,
As the present slips away, ungrasped,
A reminder that time, once lost, cannot be regained.
—-
Time becomes still in your rigmarole,
Clock ticking but never ringing.
Nothing to signify the special moments of your life,
Till you hear the final bell at your point of exhaustion.
—
This marks the end of your time,
Clock tower disappears.
You fall to the ground, losing strength as your life’s functionality fades.
All that remains are pieces trapped in time,
A life unlived, now lost to the night,
Echoes faint in endless flight….
—
Embrace the present, let the past unwind,
For life is lived in moments we choose to find.
P.s:
…..I believe in light way too much to have ended this in a tragedy. There is always hope in life and even after death, according to Jesus Christ that worketh in us, xoxo
