I lost my destination looking for a better life this afternoon
I feel like I am locked in this small tiny comfort zone
Which I discovered that isn't comfortable anymore
The road isn't long as the distance between the earth and the moon
But for me it becomes like a huge MAZE in the far Neptune
I guess this is what they call deep depression
The clock is not moving, but the time run in slow motion
That busy feeling when you are doing nothing
Makes you cry with a solid face and heart broken

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
