Fading shadows, dim and deep,
Whispers of memories I long to keep.
Faces drift like clouds in the night,
Fragments lost beyond my sight.
Once, laughter echoed through halls,
But time has worn those ancient walls.
Silent rooms, where voices played,
Now hold secrets that gently fade.
Hands I held, now shadows cold,
Stories untold, memories old.
I reach through mist, through veils unseen,
For the life I lived, a past serene.
The scent of rain, a touch of snow,
Echoes of places I used to know.
Each glance back feels so faint, so far,
Like reaching for a distant star.
Years erode what heart can’t bear,
Yet in the quiet, they linger there.
Lost moments drift, a forgotten song,
In memory’s haze, where they belong.
I walk alone where echoes lie,
In the chambers of a silent sky.
A dream, a whisper, an unseen tear,
Fading softly, yet held dear.

Wow! You really did a wonderful job<3 Such a beauty. . Dear, I'd love it if you'd read my poems too. I also love to write poems 🤗
Nicely done! I think it’s really hard to pull off a poem with a rhyme scheme and not sound cheesy, but you managed to do so beautifully :)
