Somethings different
I feel alone
Like no ones listening
I was cold
When you weren't around
But then I was warmed
By your smile
now when your near
Its like no ones here
I still blush at every touch
But do you no longer feel a rush?
I usually don't mind change
but when it's about you
I can't bear the pain
Do you still have feelings for me?
The way you did before?
Or was that all temporary
and now a closed door?
Your acting weird
Your acting different
I'm right here
but your not seeing it
I'm afraid
You'll go away
And become just a memory
Are you hearing me?

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
