Lost in Your Current

The elements of (painful) love

You're angry again

spit fire, ablaze, inferno.

I cover my ears.

Your harsh words, they grit

clog my arteries with sand

grind me down like earth.

"I'm sorry" blows in-

winds of change, vacant regret.

Sweet (saccharin) gusts.

Still, I drown in you.

Your promises dissolve me.

Lost in your current.

This was brilliant. So many images. That one about grit clogging arteries was excellent.

  • This is really gripping
