Joy

Love

Words that at this point might as well be erased

I am simply no longer seeing

I'd rather feel nothing, and for this wish, it is far from the first...

Unique

Special

Words I've grown to distaste

I am no longer fond of hearing

I'd rather sit in all day and night than stand out for a second longer...

Peace

Freedom

Words that have come to trigger me, and with haste

I've began to question their meaning

I'd rather close my eyes permanently than listen to them spoken to me a third time...

Purpose

Hope

Words that have turned the breath they've used into waste‐

I've almost lost my ability, to continue believing

If I am reminded again, than the fourth, may just be the final time...

Strength

Endurance

Words with which I've come to disagree with their place

I have, for too long, been resistant the enemy's deceiving

I'd rather stay down than stand up a fifth time...

How many times must I count to ten?...

only for Angst to return again and again‐

How many lies must I disagree with?...

only to again wrestle Despair, over and over with‐

How many times must this tale of torment repeat?...

only to over and over again "boast" of every way in which I am weak‐

To what avail is any of this?...

or anything‐

What am I to say to those who witness?...

if anything‐

Doubt

Disbelief

Words I've become all too familiar with

I am no longer able to convince myself, that I do actually care

I'd rather believe, it is my unbelief that must be helped...

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
