If you truly love me,

I will love you equally.

But if you diminish

your affection for me

I will not inquire

or pursue you.

My affection for you

will gradually diminish.

I'll change and look for

A better person.

A fresh tree.

A fresh tree that will

not simply die,

it will give me its shadow,

and it will take your place.

Even when the sun sets,

the same tree will

stay fresh next to me

regardless of season.

When you get back

pretending to love me again.

I will remind you of how

you left me in the desert.

I'll remind you of that day

that hour, the minute

you abandoned me.

I'll remind you of

how I was left thirsty

in the desert

looking for water and

a tree for its shadow.

This is sad. Another provoking again? Hehehe. You have inspired me with this poem.

  • "When you get back pretending to love me again. I will remind you of how you left me in the desert. I'll remind you of that day that hour, the minute you abandoned me. I'll remind you of how I was left thirsty in the desert looking for water and a tree for its shadow." I loved these lines the most!!!

  • Your ability to weave together nature and human emotion in such a seamless manner is truly impressive. The way you described the search for a "fresh tree" as a quest for new beginnings resonated deeply with me. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of continually seeking growth and embracing change, even when it feels daunting. I also appreciated the subtle nuances in your writing, such as the delicate balance between hope and perseverance. Your words carry a certain grace and wisdom that linger long after the last line.
