Their past does not define them,
Only then in that moment,
You take one glance,
And yet you decided to dance,
They are the same,
On the inside and out,
As what we call ourself,
The dominant,
Because we are afraid,
Being able to hold ones,
Self control,
By the pool as just a child,
Through the street,
All grown up,
They can’t complete,
A life that should be free,
If you decide how they will leave,
This world doesn’t need,
More people to plead,
Just open your eyes,
And decide to leave,
Open your eyes,
Leave behind the hate,
Leave behind the fear,
That one is more superior,
Remove your knee,
For that’s not how you care,
You ask all around even from those,
Who weren’t there,
While those who know,
Who have seen it one on one,
Will never be able to run,
They close their eyes,
And they still see it,
Forever a piece of them,
A simple tone,
Could have resulted an issue,
Yet here we are again,
Going through the courts,
They don’t miss you,
One more day they say,
Till it’s all over,
But when will it really be done,
I’m tired of hearing,
Young beautiful souls,
Call out for help,
When it could easily be over,
They or them,
It’s not,
They or them,
It’s all one,
We are one!
Black Live Matter,
And that’s no lie,
So until the world see’s,
I’ll hold my head high!
