Longing for a Soft Life
I’m not here to listen intently at your meetings...
I’m not here to listen intently at your meetings,
I’m here to get some cash flow to do other things.
We can stop pretending that any of this matters
because it’s only going to matter to the
Shareholders - many of whom do not intently follow
the current activities of the company. They’ve
put their Trust in someone else as well, they
could just as easily get screwed over like all of us
Employees.
Middle management are the donkeys.
Upper management are the Slytherins.
We’re just tiny little ants, accusing each other of
forgetting to proofread, not writing out
clear enough instructions and not specifying
clear, distinct goals or objectives that take
Three times as long to write out and tick off
rather than simply doing it.
What if we changed our goals and objectives?
What if the goal was to wake up without an alarm
Clock? What if the goal was to eat until your belly
is full and your body wants a midday nap?
What if the goal was to stay in a balanced, mental
state where we don't have to adapt to stress
because there wouldn’t be so many triggers or
Stimuli?
If the goal is to be able to reflect in one’s journal
at the end of the day, “Did I have a good day
Today? Did I do well? Am I proud of my accomplishments?”
What would that look like in a HR review for the
Quarter?
Would you give yourself some bonuses, then?
