Long Day...

It’s been a long day

I’ve tried to read

I’ve tried to write

I’ve tried too many times

To tell you what is right

I’ve tried to smile

I’ve tried to cry

I’ve tried to be angry

But I have no reason why

I’ve tried to sleep

I’ve tried to doze

But all that happens

Is my head keeps going

With thoughts that I do not

Much care for

But all I can say

Is this one simple thing

If you ask what is wrong:

It’s been a long day.
