Heartless roses, oh how they bloom
Their beauty masking their impending doom
Petals soft as silk, but thorns so sharp
Their fragrance sweet, but their touch can harp
Their stems are strong, but their souls are cold
Their love is fleeting, and their hearts are sold
They lure you in with their seductive charm
But once they have you, they'll do you harm
Their beauty fades, but their thorns remain
A reminder of the pain they can bring
They'll cut you deep and leave you scarred
Leaving you alone and emotionally marred
Oh heartless roses, you hold no love
Only a shallow beauty that fades with a shove
You may look sweet, but your heart is black
Leaving those who love you to pick up the slack.
