Loneliness

Loneliness hurts less,

no one can hurt you when you are lonely,

you do not have to risk putting your heart out there;

to get crushed and broken.

Loneliness is better to stay in your shell,

so you do not have to put your heart out there to get it broken,

torn apart,

ripped to pieces.

Loneliness is better than being hurt,

is better than being in an abusive relationship,

where the other person hangs on every word,

and gets let down when you lie again.

Loneliness is when you realize,

that you no longer have anything to offer,

I would rather be lonely.
