Loneliness
In the Quiet Spaces: A Reflection on Loneliness
In chambers echoing, where shadows creep,
A soul resides, a teardrop lone and deep.
Loneliness, a shroud, unseen, unheard,
A silent weight, by every whispered word.
The world spins on, a vibrant, laughing throng,
Yet here within, a hollow, mournful song.
A smile may rise, a mask for all to see,
But yearning eyes yearn for what can't quite be.
Like frosted leaves, clinging to a bough,
Aching for warmth, a voice to break the vow
Of solitude, a hand to chase away
The whispering doubts of a dawning day.
But hope remains, a fragile ember's glow,
That somewhere, somehow, a kindred heart will know.
Across the miles, a whisper on the breeze,
A silent plea to find solace, find release.
For even stars, though distant in the night,
Shine with a light, a beacon burning bright.
And though alone, they grace the velvet sky,
A silent promise, a teardrop drying by.
So wait, dear soul, with patient, gentle grace,
For love's embrace, a tender, warm embrace.
The chains of loneliness may bind you tight,
But dawn will come, and bring forth golden light.
