An emotion that I hate
Loneliness is a dark cloud
That hangs over my head
It blocks the sun and casts a shadow
It fills me with dread
Loneliness is a cold wind
That blows through my soul
It chills my bones and makes me shiver
It leaves me feeling hollow
Loneliness is a heavy weight
That presses on my chest
It crushes my lungs and makes me gasp
It robs me of my rest
Loneliness is a silent scream
That echoes in my mind
It deafens my ears and drowns my voice
It makes me feel blind
Loneliness is a dark cloud, a cold wind, a heavy weight, a silent scream
It is an emotion that I hate
But it is also a metaphor that I create
And I can change it with a different state

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.
