Loki Time Slipping Problem

Introduction -

After a long wait, the God of Mischief, Loki, has finally returned with Season 2. The first episode of Loki Season 2 has been released, and it brings with it a host of new problems, characters, and emerging threats. Season 1 left us with uncertainty about where Loki's story was heading. Was it an alternate timeline, or some other universe where neither Mobius nor B15 recognized him? The Start of Season 2 -

Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off. We see Kang's imposing statue, and Loki is on the run with Mobius hot on his heels. Mobius believes Loki is a variant due to the TVA's erroneous belief that Sylvie threw Loki through a time door into the "present." However, it turns out that the TVA door Sylvie used was not from the present, but from the past. This leads to Loki experiencing time-slipping for the first time as he jumps from the past to the present.

In the next scene, Mobius and B15 are seen briefing everyone on the TVA's truth. Just then, X5 enters and reveals that they are summoning a "he who remains." In the following scene, Loki time-slips again and ends up in a room from the past where he encounters Kang's massive statue. There, he finds a tap recorder that, when activated, plays Kang's voice. This revelation indicates that in the past, Kang ruled over the TVA, and he had help from Ravonna Renslayer in managing the wars.

Loki's Dilemma -

Loki continues to time-slip, and Obi, a TVA agent, explains that Mobius has gone to Temporal Aura Extractor to fix him. Loki learns that Mobius has arrived 400 years later in the present, which means that the Loki in the past is now 400 years older. Loki then heads to Obi, seeking help to stop the time-slipping.

The Temporal Aura Extractor -

Obi explains that they need to launch the Temporal Aura Extractor to stop the time-slipping. Loki is given a timer and told to activate it as soon as the Extractor launches. Loki complies and begins time-slipping, but he ends up in the future.

Meanwhile, Mobius, wearing a TVA suit, goes to launch the Extractor. In the future, Loki finally finds Sylvie and brings her to Temporal Aura Extractor, where Mobius is waiting. Episode 1 concludes with this intriguing setup.
