Logbook Of A Reluctant Dog-Sitter
Day 4: Scooby-Doo & The Case of The Demanding Pup

A pup, a movie, snacks in tow,
He yapped at ghosts—oh, what a show!
The credits rolled, but not for long,
He begged for more—who could say no?
So, I asked my family for suggestions on a dog-themed movie, but in the end, I chose on my own. I popped the Scooby-Doo DVD into the player and waited for my younger brother to come back from walking the puppy.
I grabbed a tall glass of smoothie and a bowl of pretzels—now I was ready. Just then, I heard the door; they were back. Taking over from my brother, I let the puppy settle on the soft rug and started the movie.
Every time Scooby got scared by the ghost, the puppy yipped at the screen. Maybe he was telling Scooby not to be afraid—or maybe he was barking at the ghost. If that was the case, then he’s one brave little pup!
Minutes flew by, and soon the credits were rolling. The puppy seemed to have enjoyed it, judging by all the yapping. I put the empty smoothie glass in the dishwasher and returned the still-full bowl of pretzels to the shelf.
When I came back to the living room, I saw that the puppy had knocked over the DVD rack and was nudging the Scooby-Doo case.
This little rascal wanted to watch another doggy movie—and who could say no to that face? At least he helped me put the DVDs back (though my movie limit for the day had already been reached).
Still, I put the movie on and let him enjoy it with Mom.
Have you ever watched a movie with your pet?
