Lockdown Blues

A poem about lockdown

By Andy GrayPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
The new norm

A rule of 2 metre distance,

Businesses and everyone Relying on financial assistance,

Like in wartimes we have a curfew of 10pm,

Government aren’t helping but we still look to them.

Only 2 people can meet up outside in a park what’s up with that,

People fed up of being stuck in their house, bungalow or flat,

Not being able to see family and friends,

What about the elder on their family they depend.

Come on Boris think it through,

Because everyone unfortunately relies on you,

The problem is that the government can’t agree what way is right?,

All they seem to do is give the public a fright.

Swimming pools and gyms are all closed,

But Boris says he concerns for Britain’s health grows,

I have had enough of every rule, restriction and the riots and protests that ensues,

Can’t help but have the Lockdown blues.
