Lives Collide

I see him and his new life often

By Abigail SulfridgePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I held him close

But he let go

I kissed him dearly

But he wasn’t cheery

I told him love

He spat back hate

And now he runs off

New love in hand

I have my new love too

But he still hangs near

I wish he would leave

Maybe 1000 miles away

But he stays

And I stay too

My life is my own

His life is his own

But our lives seem to collide

I don’t know why

My heart ripped to pieces

My arms bruised for reasons

Life will never be the same
