Live Simply, So Others Can Simply Live

I’m sitting a few distances away, but close enough to see the conflicting expression on her face...

Upon a rock, by Dunns River's fall,

A lady sits, in summer's call.

Golden skin kissed by the sun's embrace,

In flowing dress, she finds her place.

A few steps away, I watch her face,

A conflict there, in time and space.

Too pretty for such a troubled look,

I ponder deep, what thoughts she took.

"Live simply," she whispers to the sky,

To powers above, or spirits nigh.

"Please show me the way," she softly pleads,

A nod of thanks, as gratitude leads.

I smile, our hands entwined in fate,

Our struggles build, but not too late.

They shape the story of who we are,

Until they're gone, like distant star.

No longer conflict, just history's part,

A chain broken, a new start.

To live simply, so others may too,

In this shared journey, we pursue.

We face each other, eyes alight,

Realizing inner self's insight.

The talk within, to self-conflict,

A moment shared, no need to depict.

For in that gaze, we find our truth,

The path ahead, in clear view.

Together we stand, in unity's light,

Embracing change, with all our might.
