In the shadows, where the light fades away

I find myself, lost in a world of grey

The darkness, creeps, in like a thief in the night

Stealing the joy, and leaving me with fright

I've learned to live, in this world of night

Where the sun never shines, and the stars take flight

And though it's dark, and the road is steep

I've found a way, to make peace with my sleep

For in the dark, there's a beauty so rare

A stillness that brings, solace to my soul

And though the night may be long and drear

I've learned to cherish, the peace that it holds

So I'll walk this path, in the shadows and light

With my heart open wide, and my spirit so bright

For I've learned, that living in the dark

Is just a part, of life's grand and beautiful work

And I'll embrace, this journey I'm on

With each step I take, I grow stronger and I'm drawn

To the light that shines, just beyond the horizon

And the joy that awaits, when I've finally arisen.
