Waiting for her happy ever after.

Little Orphan Daisy
They called her Daisy
but no one said it gently
She waited by doors
that didn’t open
She asked the sky
why not me?
The sky said softly,
I don’t know, dear —
why ask me?
She asked the staff
why am I not wanted at all?
They said
because God is arranging
someone special, you see
And then they came
They loved her
like she’d always been theirs
She lived with Mum and Dad John
till the day she married
That’s why she had to wait,
for the two perfect ones
who came
and loved her
till the day they died.

Something we all need to learn in life: to be patient and let what is ours come to us when it has to come.
Beautiful Poem
This piece is powerful. You've captured the emotional journey of longing, hope, and belonging with such simplicity and grace. The ending brings quiet closure that feels both earned and deeply moving. Beautifully written.
A tender reminder that sometimes the longest waits lead to the truest love.
Miserable life
A sweet poem about Daisy finding her perfect family after waiting
