lip balm sun song

building a home with someone

her lips will be warm and nice

from the pear lip balm sun song that

will bake on in the heat of the day.

we'll work hard side by side then

come home to the moon hung high

and I'll want to sip her gasp like

fine wine, palm to palm, soul to soul

for I see our life when I look in her eyes,

hear it when she calls my name to

come

near,

feel it as she lays her head on me

as we sway to R&B by the sink,

suds long gone, and know it as coin

runs dry even as we work all day

to have more time like this, to have

that life that is ours, that it is love

that is the warm buoy that will see

us home

love poems

Beautifully articulated, Though struck me as so sad that we do spend so much time work just to create a space for these moments of bliss. The world's got it wrong somewhere x 🤍

Oh, well done! This is immersive and just lovely. "from the pear lip balm sun song that will bake on in the heat of the day." That baking metaphor is so beautiful. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
