##May you, dear reader, enjoy, and potentially empathize with, the lamentations of a whiny bitch contained herein, taking the form of a series of limericks. This downward-spiraling state of existential dread has been induced by the relevant limerick challenge. Damn each and every line to hell, and have a nice day##

1. Form Over Function

'Five lines, A-A-B-B-A.'

Much harder to do than to say.

I swear that I'm lucid,

but perhaps I'm just stupid,

how can anyone write in this way?

πŸ€

2. Fore!

I'm in a glass house throwing stones,

less like rocks, more like bitches and moans.

Each attempt is a privilege

I'll refuse to acknowledge,

I'll hurl my complaints in a deep baritone!

πŸ€

3. Limerickrolled

Who came up with this is a troll!

A sadistic harlequin out of control!

I'm trying to have fun,

but after this is done,

I won't touch a poem with a ten-foot pole!

πŸ€

4. Funky Junkie

Things are going about as well as predicted.

I've become somewhat hopelessly addicted.

What started as participation

will become oversaturation,

I won't stop until I'm interdicted!

πŸ€

5. Sturgeon on a Mount

I'll gobble up all the low-hanging fruit,

I'm just three catfishes stacked up in a suit.

I'm a literary bottom-feeder

sucking on scraps from his only two readers,

and this poem's the resulting 'toot.'

About the Creator

Jacob Sherman

The desire to read, and perhaps to write, should be cultivated and nurtured with care throughout every stage of life. For my part I will inject what strangeness and truth that I can into our written history. Expect no constants but honesty.
