The first thing I say
When I meet a new person
Is what’s your favorite color
The response doesn’t matter as much as look they first get
“But we’re adults, do we still need a favorite color”
It flashes through their eyes but everyone lets that go
Because underneath we all want to know
We all want to see each other in those childlike eyes
That tell us beauty is in every color
So now I ask you, if today was one color, what color would it be for you?
