harsh words doesn’t bubble up inside,
mind and heart still do fight,
but there is light.
Light I was so blind to before.
I would shut my eyes, cover my ears,
but the noise inside would only amplify.

but that is all.

She speaks to me kind,
holds my hand and pulls me back when darkness binds.

she can’t make a grey day gay but she guides me through it.
At nights she tells me I’m hard to reach,
but still, by dawn, words of love she will preach.

and we are just getting familiar
