Amidst the descending darkness,

I’ve given in, given up.

You pulled me out,

Led me in,

To this safe place.

Only when I stopped resisting you,

Could I find,

This precious little light of mine.

Let us burn brighter together,

And ward off the evil of our time.

Protect our own,

Safe, sacred, hideaway.

Until we can see the sun shine again.
