Light Was Born Of the Darkness

Just like grapes on the vine

One's flavor becomes rich with character

when they are forced to struggle through growth

Light and dark

creates an image

Without both

we wouldn't have existence

The biggest lights

have the largest shadows

Those who are shallow

have never danced with the darkness

and found the depth of love beyond it's hallows

Most people I meet only want life to be good

They shun everything uncomfortable

so they never know the depth

of what it's like to persevere

They never learn how to create

the sweetest simplicity of joy

because they haven’t conquered

the bitter complexities of their shadow
