Pretty in pink is soft, bright and beautiful Always been a little too girly for her

"Tomboy demeanor"

Never was her first pick

She'll pick something uglier to avoid it

That color has too much of popularity

She always felt out of place

As bright as she is that color still wouldn't fit

Pink is innocent, as playful as the child in her

When color is lost it fades just like

Her hope that she thought was lost through

Endless tunnels of Darknesss in her life looking for someone to run to

Looking for security none secured

No mom or dad present

Just a surprising box of true colors

From the friend her mother trusted with her child

Church family taught her Good but still

She grew up and turn to the only thing she knew

Hid herself behind walls

Through all the pain and heartache

She turned into someone she's not

Allowing the the pain to follow & hide her

The love and kindness she learned

Abused Misused and manipulated

By every one she encountered

Betrayed by many people & friends

She cried alone but to the world

She built character, always remained true

All the negativity, baggage she carried

Love & sincerity taken advantage of

She still carried herself in a way

That will inspire and make others feel good

No one ever knew she was suffering

Filled with Joy, Peace & happiness

To the ones who embarrassed & shamed her

She treated like they never done anything

Never judgemental she always accepted

She helped, she made it her job

To make sure you felt better despite

Her problems she had at the moment

She never allowed the WORLD to hide

The only true color she had in her

Who I truly am through it all

The Light that reflected in Me

Gods Light
