Light of the Moon Beams Down On Me
Pre-Raphaelite Ekphrastic Series #3 Moonbeams

Each night ends
Staring into the
Seeping tenebrious veil
⋆。゚︎☪︎⋆。゚︎
As silence
Relinquishes her hold
Drops of pink and gold
Saturate, spreading
A susurrus erupts
In the lapping surface
A single ripple
Spreads for miles
Unaffronted
Graced by astral maidens
Fair and gleaming
⋆。゚︎☪︎⋆。゚︎
Angelic hands entwined
Chains of whimsy
Locked in a line
Trailing from the
Moon’s open window
Wicking up dreams to
Escape our reality
Fuel for Morpheus’
Quixotic territory
⋆。゚︎☪︎⋆。゚︎
Blissful fantasies of
A starry sea
Encapsulate my
Imaginings
Afloat motionless in a
Hollowed out trunk of
Latent desire
Waves sanding the
Roughs longing inspires
Moonbeams bouncing off
Glimmering silver isles
⋆。゚︎☪︎⋆。゚︎
Sprays of
Celestial spun copper
Bursting from
Champagne clouds of infinity
Against a sky
Dusted violet shades of divinity
Veined with
Crackling blue electricity
Powering cosmic
Churning winds of phantasy
Graced by the
Silken caress of destiny
