When a friend is fake, you can clearly tell because they always act like everything's well

when all they want to do is yell
they wish you wrong and pray for hell

they mock you out and never truly listen and when you're sad with tears that glisten

they still don't understand your fix then they'll call you awful and a witch then

they hear, but not listen, fake every smile as your river of tears stretches a mile

their words stamp you out and mold you into a tile
one that begs to be clean, one in denial

and in those times, you find a real one
a good friend or two, a jewel for one

then you remember you're not truly someone
without the good friends that make you someone
