Walk with me, through the rose garden.
Graveled paths lead us to lacquered benches.
Big, fat blooms have no need to ask for attention.
Fences and thorns keep hungry animals at bay.
Perfection, attained by the elimination of adversity.
Our lives mirror the beautiful rose garden.
Each day, we work to eliminate adversity.
We guard ourselves from a world seeking to harvest our gifts.
Painted platforms, keep us from over growing our space.
We bloom, blossoms manufactured from security.
Is this beauty; a life common?
Walk with me, through a high mountain plain.
Step carefully, over rocks blanketed in spring snow.
The smiling faced, wild pansies reach up toward the promise of sun.
Hungry rabbits munch, grateful for fresh greens poking through the fields of ice.
Pansies smile on, knowing that each bunny bite stimulates new plant growth.
Our lives do not need to be perfectly manicured gardens.
Each day we can choose to sail, on the wings of adversity.
We share our gifts with all who ask, knowing our bounty cannot be diminished.
Feet in the dirt, we feel a need to grow and welcome a challenge.
We bloom blossoms of joy, grace and anticipation.
This is beauty; a life uncommon.
