Tears, oh tears, what are you good for?
Do you serve a purpose, or just make us sore?
Do you bring relief, or just more pain?
Do you cleanse our souls, or just leave a stain?
Tears, oh tears, you flow so freely,
From our eyes, when we’re sad and needy.
You come in droplets, or in flowing streams,
You’re a sign of sorrow, or so it seems.
Tears, oh tears, you’re a sign of emotion,
Of love, of loss, of deep devotion.
You’re a way to express what we feel,
To show the world that our hearts are full of zeal.
Tears, oh tears, you’re a sign of strength,
Of resilience, of courage, of great length.
You show that we can face our fears,
And overcome them, with all our tears.
Tears, oh tears, you’re a sign of hope,
Of healing, of growth, of a new scope.
You bring us closer, to ourselves and others,
And help us discover, our true colors.
Tears, oh tears, you’re a sign of life,
Of all its ups and downs, of its strife.
You remind us that we’re human, after all,
And that we can rise, from every fall.
Tears, oh tears, you’re good for so much,
You’re a way to connect, a way to touch.
You’re a way to speak, to feel, to heal,
And to show the world, that we’re innately real.
