Life's span

A butterfly poem

By Rhodel RamosPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Not sure if its a butterfly tho

A fleeting beauty, born to roam,

A butterfly's life, so swiftly flown.

A fragile existence, like petals, it fades,

In nature's embrace, a melancholy serenade.

A brief dance on fragile wings,

With moments of joy, a whisper that sings.

Yet time's cruel grip, it takes its toll,

Cutting short the flight of a fragile soul.

Oh, butterfly, why is life so unkind?

A destiny predetermined, hard to find.

A fragile span, too short to grasp,

Leaving hearts heavy with sorrow's clasp.

In nature's tapestry, a mournful refrain,

A reminder of life's transient strain.

We weep for your passing, oh fragile friend,

Your beauty extinguished, a tragic end.

But in your brevity, lessons we learn,

To cherish the moments, for they swiftly adjourn.

In the butterfly's life, we find a plea,

To embrace every moment, for time flees.

So let us mourn, in silent despair,

For the butterfly's life, so unfairly rare.

A sad ode to its fleeting display,

As it fades away, in nature's ballet.
