Life Behind Bars

Reliving that very moment

When you caught some years followed with an "L"

Watching the gavel hit the stand

As the judge sentenced you to life in jail

Now you have a new family

Ones you could never trust

Imagine living a life

When its one down and one up

There's often rising tension

So thick you could cut it with a knife

What decisions will you make

When its a toss up between his and your life

Never again to kiss a girl

Never to lay by her side

Never to have complete rest

All you have are your dreams at night

Nights are the only peace you do get

Gazing out your window lost amongst the stars

This is just another day

Of a man with Life Behind Bars.

About the Creator

Thomas F

I was shot in the face at point blank range with a double barrel 12 gage during an strong arm robbery that quickly turned into an Attempted Murder. Although I'm missing my right eye and a bullet in my brain. I AM STILL ME & I AM STILL HERE
