Life as we Know it
Chaos pours across the earth,
Rain showers that cow us into panic and forlorn.
We hibernate away from the typical day we use to pursue,
Because life as we know it is changing.
Fresh air turns to contamination,
Homes turn to eternal accommodations.
Happiness turns to fear,
While the life around us slowly flatlines.
We grasp on the inevitable storm
coming to drown us,
It’s rain burns you,
Towers of water that flush your germ-x bottles and ABC hand washes away.
While it’s clouds reflect
desolate stores lacking necessities that fulfill our daily purposes.
The terror that fills our body comes from a place of nowhere,
Nowhere to turn or go because the panic
Is everywhere.
The disease is all around hidden in the gas
we breathe casually.
And behind the limpid gas is a
Bunch of worry wrapped in face mask
And anti germ repellent because
us people have plenty of that,
but what we lack is
answers to this revolving problem.
Answers to the safety we are promised,
Until I’ve lost everything but hope.
And soon that will be gone too.
