Life
This is a poem about life and death, how life can be so fleeting and quick to be here one moment and gone the next.

Snuffed out like the flame of a candle
gone in the blink of an eye
life is illusive dream
washed away by the ticking of time.
For what is life?
If not an illusion of time
here one moment, yet gone the next.
Surely life is a beauty to behold?
To be enjoyed, not by the riches collected
but by the knowledge gained .
To be enjoyed, not by the social statues and power
but by the delicacy of pure joy.
For life can not truly be brought
it has no true price tag
yet it has upon it an expiry date, given at birth .
Surely life is far more precious than that of gold, silver, bronze?
For life is here one moment and quickly gone the next
it is quick to decay and extinguish itself
but just as quick to ignite and burn bright.
